Charisse Duncan is a Los Angeles based artist. She is the founder of Queers Who Create, which is a community-centered art space for creative Queer femmes. Charisse was born and raised in Hagerstown, Maryland, but moved to Los Angeles in 2016 to pursue a career in art. She has a bachelor’s degree in Communication-Media from High Point University and worked in television for three years prior to moving to Los Angeles.
Charisse’s work explores themes of healing, self-love, pop culture, political issues, and her experiences as a Queer, Black woman. She uses a variety of mediums including watercolor, oil, acrylic, and colored pencils. Charisse also expresses her creativity through modeling and photography.
